This page describes unpacking the ViewStation and some general
information about your new HDS ViewStation X terminal.
Your ViewStation consists of a base unit, with keyboard and
mouse, and a display monitor. Your ViewStation also needs HDSware
software - one copy for each site, not one for each ViewStation. HDSware
is available on CD-ROM or various tape formats. Click here for more
information about the HDSware Software.
ViewStation Packaging
The ViewStation is packed in two cartons.
They contain:
ViewStation base
Power cord for the base
unit
Keyboard in its own packaging, cable attached
Mouse in its
own packaging, cable attached
Video cable (some cables are
attached to the monitor)
HDS ViewStation Owner's Manual
ViewStation monitor
Monitor power cable (some have the cable
attached)
Tilt/swivel base (attached or unattached)
Open the cartons carefully, lift out the components and save
the packing materials in case you have to repack the ViewStation or
monitor.
Interpreting ViewStation Model
Numbers
The ViewStation's model number is located on a label
on the left side at the rear of the base. This number contains
information about the ViewStation's configuration.
Interpreting ViewStation Serial Numbers

ViewStation with 220 Volt Power
The
ViewStation can be used with 220 Volt power.
