ViewStation
Power Connectors
The ViewStation has an auto-switching power
supply, so it can accept either 115 VAC or 230 VAC input without
requiring any adjustment.
The ViewStation's convenience outlet is an unswitched outlet
and provides the same power as output that the ViewStation receives as
input. The convenience outlet is rated for a 2.5 Amp 120 VAC power load,
which is higher than any of the standard ViewStation monitors require.
If you substitute another monitor, or use the outlet for another device,
be sure you stay within the 2.5 Amp power rating.
The fuse on the back panel of the ViewStation base unit is
rated at 4 Amps for 115 Volt operation (this is a Littlefuse 239004).
For 230 Volt operation, the fuse should be changed to a 2 Amp fuse
(Littlefuse 239002). A spare fuse is included in the fuse holder.
ViewStation Communications Board
The optional
communications board supports a ThinWire Ethernet connection with a BNC
female connector conforming to IEEE 802.3 10Base2 standards, a ThickWire
Ethernet connection (DB15) conforming to IEEE 802.3 10Base5 standards,
and a second serial port (DB25 connector).
