ViewStations with a hard disk drive use a different
configuration file, /HDSware/hds-fx/config/config.fx.dsk. This
file is different in several important ways. It is shown below.
If you have a disk drive installed on your ViewStation, the factory
installation provides different configuration files so the paths all
point to the local disk drive rather than to a directory on a remote
host. These configuration files are called "config.fx.dsk", which
distinguishes them from the normal "config.fx" files.
The "config.fx.dsk" file is used for ViewStation configuration
and specifies the paths to find HDSware. The factory installation sets
this config.fx.dsk file to be used automatically. If you use your own
configuration files, you should use this configuration file (or the
relevant parts of it) for booting, either from Monitor Mode, or Bootp.
/hds-fx/config/config.fx.dsk
#
# This is the configuration file used by default when the FX
# Utilities host address and directory path have been set to the
# local ViewStation disk. Setup entries for HDSware are then
# HDSware host: <local ViewStation IP> and
# HDSware Directory path: </dev/flash>.
#
# Note the use of the Internet loopback address
# for this local ViewStation.
# Note also the local directory specification: /dev/flash.
