Booting the ViewStation
This
page describes the process of booting the ViewStation.
The
process differs depending on whether your ViewStation has local file
storage, either FlashPROM or a PC Card hard disk, or whether you are
using the ViewStation's local Monitor Mode feature, or whether you are
using the BOOTP network service to boot the X terminal.
Booting from Local Storage
This section describes starting a
ViewStation with a FlashPROM card or a PC Card hard disk drive
installed.
Booting from Monitor Mode
This
section describes the ViewStation's Monitor Mode feature and gives
examples of starting the ViewStation with these commands.
Booting with BOOTP Network Service
This section describes
starting the ViewStation with the BOOTP network service running on your
host. It gives examples and includes discussion of running the BOOTP
service on the host computer.
Booting a
ViewStation with 4 MB of Memory
This section describes special
procedures for booting ViewStations that have only 4 MB of memory.
