factory This resets NVM to Factory Default settings

boot This saves your settings in NVM; reboots the
			ViewStation

These commands let you select important ViewStation settings and control the boot process.

Other settings can be made in the same way. Monitor Mode is not intended to substitute for Setup Mode, but to provide a way for starting your ViewStation if flashPROM or BOOTP aren't available. Other variables may be necessary for your system, such as a gateway address and netmask setting, or a configuration file location. If you are working with a unit that already has data in NVM (Non-Volatile Memory), you can clear the NVM with the "factory" command.

The "show" and "set" commands let you set any configuration resource, such as:
show HDSsetup.ipaddress

and the ViewStation will report the current HDSsetup.ipaddress setting. In the same way, you can set any configuration resource, such as:
set HDSsetup.config.file /128.92.1.3/usr/lib/X11/HDSware/hds-fx/config/config.fx

If you are working with a ViewStation that already has data in NVM (Non-Volatile Memory), you can clear the NVM with the "factory" command.
