tftp refers to the "tftp - DARPA Trivial File Transfer
Protocol." It is a program that connects to a server
(tftpd(8n)), that supports the DARPA tftp on a remote host
specified by a hostname. It allows you to transfer files in
a read-only format.

Use of tftp does not require an account or password on the
remote system. Due to the lack of authentication information,
tftpd(8n) will allow only publicly readable files to be
accessed; note that this extends the concept of "public" to
include all users on all hosts that can be reached through
the network; this may not be appropriate on all systems,
and its implications should be considered before enabling
the tftp service.

You can start and stop the tftp service on WinDD by double-
clicking on Main | Control Panel | Services, finding the
service, and then enabling or disabling it.

This disk contains TFTP Microsoft NT service beta software.
This software provides TFTP read only access to MS NT files
  from any TFTP client.

Installation of the TFTP Service is done from a DOS
shell by running the following commands.

Copy tftp.exe to a temp directory
  Execute tftp.exe
  Execute install.cmd

  parameters:
help - print the install script parameter syntax

The TFTP Service is installed into the system32 directory. In
addition the Service is automatically started.

  TFTP Control Applet options:

Enable Secure Read - This option enables the Secure Directory option and limits
			     TFTP reads to this directory.

Secure Directory - This option defines the directory to limit TFTP reads to.
All tftp reads are relative to this directory. Do not use the
secure directory as part of the path to the file used in the
			    TFTP client.

			EXAMPLE: (File resides at C:\tftpboot\tekxp\boot\os.330)

			     Enable Secure Read = checked
			     Secure Directory = C:\tftpboot

			     Netstation boot path = \tekxp\boot\os.330
