SUMMARY

If you use a Java Applet, it may not function correctly when the following conditions are true: According to the Java programming specification, file names are case sensitive. For example, if the original class file name is MyJavaApplet.class and you typed myjavaapplet.class into the codebase, the Java applet will not load, because Java considers these two files to be different.

When you specify a class name for a Java applet in the codebase, verify that the uppercase and lowercase characters you type match the file name.
