SYMPTOMS
When you use any of the following Word publications,

the following error message appears:
Run-time error '5889': Requested paper size is not available on the currently selected printer.
CAUSE
There is no default printer installed.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, you must install a printer.
To set up a printer, do the following:
NOTE: Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Printers, and then double-click Add Printer.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- If you want to print a test page, first make sure your printer is on and ready to print.
NOTE: If you want to use a shared network printer, you can set it up quickly by browsing for it in
Network Neighborhood, clicking the printer's icon, and then clicking
Install on the
File menu.
