Summary:

When boxes are printing around fields in Microsoft File even if the Print Gridlines option is turned off, this may indicate that borders have been added using field formatting.

Borders print even if the Print Gridlines option is turned off in Page Setup. To remove the border formatting, do the following:

  1. From the Form menu, choose Show Form.

  2. Click the field to change.

  3. From the Form menu, choose Format Field.

  4. Deselect the Border option.
