SYMPTOMS
If the user name supplied in NetUserChangePassword() is not valid, then the API returns error ERROR_BAD_NETPATH (53) instead of NERR_UserNotFound (2221) on Windows NT 4.0. The error is semantically incorrect.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This bug was corrected in Windows 2000. REFERENCES
