SUMMARY

Only certain versions of Internet Mail and News support the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).

MORE INFORMATION

When you use either Microsoft Outlook Express or Internet Mail and News, the Address Book has a Directory Service option (on the File menu, click Directory Service) if the version of the Address Book supports LDAP.

The Address Book Directory Services in Internet Mail and News version 4.70.1161 uses LDAP. The Address Book enables you to add LDAP servers to your list of address books from which you can search and select names when you address e-mail messages.
