SYMPTOMS

When you try to fax from Word by selecting the Fax icon or WinFax from the File menu, the following error message may appear:

The Winfax printer driver does not appear to be installed. You must re-install WinFax.

CAUSE

The WinFax PRO 9 macros for Word do not work in Word 2000.

WORKAROUND

Use the Print command and select WinFax as your printer by following these steps:

In Microsoft Word, on the File menu, click Print.
Select WinFax as your printer and click OK.
