SYMPTOMS
When you use the Combo Box Wizard to create a combo box on a form that is
not based on any table or query, you see all three of the normal options. However, the following option does not work:
Find a record on my form based on the value I selected in my combo box.
If you choose this option, you receive the following error message when you click
Next on the second page of the wizard:
The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query 'SQL Statement'. Make sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly.
CAUSE
The form that contains the combo box must be based on a table or query
before the Combo Box Wizard can work correctly when you choose the third option.
RESOLUTION
To make the third option work correctly when you use the Combo Box Wizard, create a query based on your SQL statement and use that query as the RecordSource property of the form.
