OL2000: No Matching Items Found Using "From" Criteria

An Outlook Contact, as viewed from the Address Book, can contain as many as 3 e-mail addresses and 3 Business Fax numbers. Outlook appends (e-mail), (email2), (email3), (Business Fax), (Business Fax2), or (Business Fax3) to the e-mail name to differentiate between the types of addresses. So a contact name in the Address Box can have any of these formats:

   myname (E-mail)
   myname (E-mail2)
   myname (E-mail3)
   myname (Business Fax)
   myname (Business Fax2)
   myname (Business Fax3)
				

A space between words in any of the search criteria fields is interpreted as an And function. In the example above, myname (E-mail), is interpreted as myname And (E-mail). Since all criteria must be matched for the search to succeed, and (E-mail) is never found in the From field of an e-mail message, the search will fail.
