SYMPTOMS
In the Calendar view, when you use the Go To Next Overallocation toolbar button (on the Resource Management toolbar), a day may be selected but no tasks are selected, even though overallocations exist.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when an overallocated resource is assigned to a task
whose task bar is not formatted to be displayed (such as a summary task) in
the Bar Styles dialog box.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, show bars for tasks that are not currently
being displayed. To do this, follow these steps.
- In the Calendar view, on the Format menu, click Bar
Styles.
- Under Task Type, click the appropriate task type.
- In the Bar Type list, click Line or Bar.
- Click OK.
NOTE: Repeat steps 2 and 3 for any other bars in the
Bar Styles dialog box whose
Bar Type is set to
None.
STATUS
