When you reply or forward an e-mail message, it is often desirable to close the original message to eliminate visual clutter.

Turn On Close Original Message On Reply or Forward



To turn on the Close Original Message On Reply or Forward option, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options and click the Preferences tab. Click E-mail Options.
  2. Click to select "Close original message on reply or forward."
  3. To close all dialog boxes, click OK twice.
