SYMPTOMS
When you fax a document after upgrading from Microsoft Outlook Express to
Microsoft Outlook 2000, you receive the following error:
Microsoft Word Err=1120, There is a printer error.
If you try to fax from Microsoft Word, you may get the following error:
Word cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup.
CAUSE
This problem may occur for one of the following reasons:
- A long file name path was written into the Exepath of [OLFax] section in the WIN.INI file.
- No Symantec Fax Starter Edition printer is installed in the Windows Printer folder.
RESOLUTION
Choose the appropriate method.

To send the fax, edit the ExePath to an MS-DOS file name.
- Install the Symantec Fax Starter Edition Printer.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 2000.
