SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to add an activity using the Take Control Editor,
version 1.0, you may receive the following error message:
Astro caused an invalid page fault in module Astro.exe.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if both of the following conditions are true:
- You have not added a device from the TV category to the device list.
- You attempt to add an activity that requires a TV device.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, add a device from the TV category before you add
an activity. To do this, follow these steps:
- Start the Take Control Editor.
- Click Devices.
- Click Add New Device.
- In the Select The Device Category list, click TV, and then click
Continue.
- Click the brand of TV you want, and then click Continue.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to synchronize your computer
with the Take Control System Controller (TC1000).
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Take Control Editor,
version 1.0.
