SYMPTOMS
When you send mail using Microsoft Outlook 2000 via a Lotus Notes Domino 4.5 Server, acting as a POP3 Internet e-mail server, mail formatted as Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) arrives at the recipient as a plain text message containing the HTML code.
CAUSE
This behavior is caused by a problem in message handling on the Lotus Notes
version 4.5 server. You can reproduce the same condition using Outlook
Express and Netscape Messenger as clients.
RESOLUTION
Lotus has confirmed this to be a problem in version 4.5 of the Notes
server. This problem was corrected in the 4.6 version.
