Import History Delete Fails with Error 40002 [S1000]

SYMPTOMS

If you delete an imported log from the Import History, you may receive the following error message:

40002 [S1000] [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Connection is busy with results for another hstmt.

CAUSE

Certain ODBC driver versions are confused by the operations performed on a single database handle during the request deletion process.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, apply the latest Site Server 3.0 service pack.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Site Server version 3.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. service pack for Microsoft Site Server version 3.0. Usage Import has been modified to divide the operations among two database handles to avoid this problem.
