FIX: Some Task Management St. Procs. Accept Some Invalid Dates

SYMPTOMS

The following stored procedures

sp_addtask(@activestartdate,@activeenddate,@nextrundate) sp_purgehistory(@startdate,@enddate) sp_updatealert(@count_reset_date,@last_occurrence_date,@last_response_date)

Accept the following as incoming date parameters:

   2/29/1999
   1/0/2000
   2/30/2000
   2/31/2000
   2/29/2001

These dates do not exist, and should not be available.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server version 6.5. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for SQL Server version 6.5. For more information, contact your primary support provider.
