XCLN: Errors Deleting Occurrence of Recurring Meeting

SYMPTOMS

When you try to delete a single occurrence of a recurring meeting in Outlook, you may receive the following error message:

   Dr. Watson for Windows NT

   An application error has occurred and an application error log is being
   generated.

   OUTLOOK.EXE
   Exception: access violation (0xc0000005), Address: 0x6e406680

If you are using the Outlook Windows 95/98 client, the error message will be similar to the following:

   Outlook caused an Invalid Page Fault in module Outlib.dll
   015E:6e406080

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if you have applied the Outlook 98 Security Patch (Outptch2.exe).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
