The information in this article applies to:
Visual InterDev crashes when exiting the Property Page of an ActiveMovie control.
This problem occurs only with Msdxm.ocx version 5.01.18.1024 (or older).
Install a later version of the ActiveMovie control.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
1. Create an HTML page in Visual InterDev.
2. Add the ActiveMovie control to the ActiveX Controls tab in the Toolbox by
clicking on the ActiveX Controls tab in the Toolbox.3. Right-click in the area under the ActiveX Controls tab.
4. Select Customize Toolbox.
5. Click the ActiveX Controls tab and check the box next to ActiveMovieControl
Object.6. Click OK.
7. Drag and drop the ActiveMovieControl on your HTML page.
8. Right-click the control and select Properties.
9. When the ActiveMovie Properties dialog box appears, click either Cancel or OK
to close the dialog box.Result: Visual InterDev crashes
