SYMPTOMS

When you play Microsoft Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far, you may receive the following error message when you begin a battle:

Out of commmand data space.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if sound, music, or video playback is disabled in Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, verify that sound, music, and videos are enabled in Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far. To do this, use the appropriate method for your operating system.

Microsoft Windows 95/98

  1. Start Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far.
  2. Press the F8 key.
  3. Under Game Options, verify that the Enable Sound, Enable Music, and Enable Videos check boxes are selected. Click to select any check boxes that are not selected.
  4. Click OK.

Macintosh OS

  1. Start Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far.
  2. Press the SPACEBAR.
  3. On the Options menu, verify that the Sound, Music, and Video options are selected. Click to select any options that are not selected.
  4. Press the SPACEBAR.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far version 2.0.
