SYMPTOMS
AppleTalk protocol does not bind to FDDI network cards. However, it does
bind to Ethernet cards. At the same time TCP/IP, IPX, and NetBEUI do bind
to FDDI network cards.
CAUSE
AppleTalk will not bind to an adapter that does not have a MediaType
keyword in the parameter section of the card.
RESOLUTION
Under Windows NT 4.0, you need to set the MediaType parameter in the INF to
3.(NOTE: In Windows NT 3.51, MediaType is listed as 4 when it should be 3.)
