This article describes how to reinstall Microsoft DirectX and replace all DirectX files.
To reinstall DirectX and replace all DirectX files:
http://www.microsoft.com/directx/homeuser/downloads/default.aspFollow the instructions on the screen to download the DirectX 7.0 self-extracting file (Dx70eng.exe), and then save the file to the desktop.
/c /t:temp\directxwhere temp is the path to the Temp folder you noted in step 1. The text in the Target box should be similar to the following line:
"C:\Windows\Desktop\Dx70eng.exe" /c /t:c:\windows\temp\directx
