PRJ98: Prompted Multiple Times to Open Resource Pool

SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project 98, when you open a consolidated project, you may be
prompted to open a resource pool many times.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when all of the following conditions are true:
- You are opening a consolidated project.
- At least two of the projects inserted into the consolidated project
are sharing resources from the same resource pool.
- The consolidated project is not the resource pool.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, open the resource pool before you open the
consolidated project.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
