If the Odexl32.dll file is already installed, you can rename it and copy a new one from your Office 97 compact disc:

1. On the Start menu, point to Find and click Files or Folders.
2. In Named, type "Odexl32.dll" (without quotation marks) and click Find Now.
3. Right-click the found file and click Rename on the shortcut menu.
4. Type a new name for the file, such as Olexi32.old, and close the Find Files dialog box.
5. Insert your Office 97 Setup compact disc.
6. From the OS\System folder, copy the Odexl32.dll file to your Windows\System folder.

If the ODBC drivers are not installed, you can install them from either your Office 97 compact disc or your Outlook 98 compact disc:

To Install the ODBC Drivers from the Office 97 Compact Disc

1. Insert the Office 97 Setup compact disc.
2. In the ValuPack folder, double-click Valupk8.hlp.
3. From the list, click the button beside Data Access Pack.
4. Click the button following, "To install the Data Access Pack, click," then click Yes and follow the instructions.

To Install the ODBC Drivers from the Outlook 98 Compact Disc

1. Insert your Outlook 98 Setup compact disc.
2. From the ValuPack\Dataacc folder, copy the file Dataacc.exe to your Desktop.
3. Double-click the Dataacc.exe to install the ODBC drivers.
