SYMPTOMS
After you install Windows 98 by using an Msbatch.inf file, your computer
may not have network connectivity.
CAUSE
This issue can occur if both of the following conditions exist:
- The Msbatch.inf file specifies static Transmission Control Protocol/
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) addressing
- The Msbatch.inf file is configured to install Dial-Up Networking
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, click OK during Setup when you receive a
message that says you do not have network connectivity, click the
Configuration tab, click Dial-Up Adapter, click Remove, and then click OK.
To prevent this from occurring the next time you use the Msbatch.inf file,
edit the Msbatch.inf file to not install Dial-Up Networking.
