WD98: Setting Custom Superscipt/Subscript Font Size and Position

The predefined key combinations for superscript and subscript are as follows: Note that these predefined key combinations cannot be assigned to a specific point position (you cannot specify how much to raise or lower the text). To assign key combinations to different character positions, follow these steps:

1. On the Tools menu, click Customize.
2. Click the Commands tab.
3. Click Keyboard.
4. In the Customize Keyboard dialog box, under Categories, select Format. Under Commands, click to select Raised (for superscript position) or Lowered (for subscript position).
5. Change the Raised (or Lowered) box to the desired height (for example 5 pt).
6. Click in the Press New Shortcut Key box and press a key combination (press the keys simultaneously).
7. Click the Assign button to assign the key combination to the selected scripting height.

You should now be able to use the key combination you specified in step 6 to raise or lower selected characters the height you specified in step 5.
