SYMPTOMS
When you install an ATI Mach 64 display adapter as the primary display
device and install an ATI Rage II display adapter as the secondary
display device in your computer, the only screen resolution available may
be 640 X 480 and the only color palette available may be 16 colors.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if there is a resource conflict with your ATI Mach
64 and ATI Rage II display adapters.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, use the following steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-
click System.
- On the Device Manager tab, double-click the Display Adapters branch to
expand it, and then double-click ATI Mach 64.
- On the Resources tab, click the Use Automatic Settings
check box to select it.
- Click OK, and then click OK.
- Restart your computer when you are prompted to do so.
