PRJ98: Can't Resolve Overallocation If Leveling Minute-By-Minute

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project 98, when you level resources, some resource overallocations might not be resolved, nor do you receive any messages.

NOTE: If you do receive leveling messages, there may be other causes such as task constraints, task Actual Start dates, or task relationships that prevent the tasks from being leveled correctly.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur when leveling is set look for overallocations on a minute-by-minute basis.

RESOLUTION

To correct this problem, install Microsoft Project 98 for Windows Service Release 1 (SR-1).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

This problem was corrected in Microsoft Project 98 for Windows, Service Release 1 (SR-1).
