APPLIES TO
- Microsoft Windows 98 Standard Edition
This article was previously published under Q187343
SYMPTOMS
After you install Windows 98, you may not be able to run some of the games
included with the ATI 3D Rage Pro video adapter. When you try to run these
games, some of them may display only the starting screen and then return
to the previous screen.
CAUSE
Windows 98 uses its own video drivers for the 3D Rage Pro video adapter.
In order to work properly, some of the games included with the 3D Rage Pro
video adapter require dynamic-link library (DLL) files that are available
only with the ATI-supplied drivers.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, reinstall the drivers provided by ATI.
