SYMPTOMS
When you select an item in a list box, the list box may be scrolled so that
the selected item is displayed at the bottom of the visible items in the
list.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
- You are using a list box on an MS Excel 5.0 dialog sheet.
-and-
- You specify a cell link for the list box.

WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, do not specify a cell link for the list box.
To remove a cell link from a list box, follow these steps:
- Switch to the dialog sheet in your workbook.
- Double-click the list box.
- Click the Control tab in the Format Control dialog box.
- Clear the Cell Link box. Click OK.
When you now run the dialog sheet, the items are not moved in the list box.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel 98
Macintosh Edition.
