This article describes how to obtain the Microsoft IntelliPoint software
version 3.1.
To install the IntelliPoint software version 3.1, the IntelliPoint
software version 1.1 or later must be installed on your computer, or
you must have the installation disks for the IntelliPoint software
version 1.1 or later.
If you are running version 1.0 of the IntelliPoint software, you must
first obtain the IntelliPoint software version 1.1 installation disks
before you download and install the IntelliPoint software version 3.1.
To obtain the IntelliPoint software version 1.1 installation disks,
telephone the Microsoft Order Desk at (800) 360-7561.
Make sure that you have your product identification (PID) number ready
when you call.
NOTE: If your IntelliPoint software version 1.1 installation
disks are damaged, call the Microsoft Order Desk phone number listed
above to obtain replacement disks.
The IntelliPoint 3.1 software update includes Microsoft Windows 2000
support, and is designed to work with the Microsoft pointing devices
that are listed at the beginning of this article.
The IntelliPoint software is included with the retail version of any
Microsoft pointing device. However, the IntelliPoint software is not
available for purchase as a separate product.
