SYMPTOMS
When you upgrade Microsoft Windows CE Services version 2.0 to Windows CE
Services version 2.1, you may receive either of the following error
messages:
DCCMAN.EXE - Application Error. The instruction at "< xxxxxxxxxx >"
referenced memory at "<xxxxxxxxxx>". The memory could not be read.
-or-
File Error. Cannot find _INS0432_MP.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if Microsoft Windows CE Services is running on
the desktop computer.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, follow these steps:
- Disconnect the Handheld PC (H/PC) or Palm-size PC (P/PC) from the
desktop computer.
- Restart the desktop computer.
- Install Windows CE Services version 2.1.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows CE
Services version 2.0.
