SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to print from Microsoft Publisher to a Canon printer you may receive the following error message:
Microsoft Publisher caused a General Protection Fault in module UCS16.DLL at 0001:0000A3CF.

CAUSE

Publisher is attempting to print using a legacy printer driver. Typically this problem occurs if the Canon printer driver is using the Usc16.dll and the Canbj31.drv file, which are Windows 3.1 driver files.
