1. Upgrading from a Previous Version of Financial Manager
If you have a previous version of Financial Manager on your computer, you
should remove it using Add/Remove Programs located under the Control Panel
before installing Financial Manager 98.

2. Using Previous Versions' Databases, Report Workbooks, and What-If
Scenarios
The databases you imported into previous versions of Financial Manager are
completely compatible with this version. You don't need to re-
import your previous versions' databases to create new report workbooks or
what-if scenarios using Financial Manager 98.
You can also open and view your previous versions' report workbooks and
what-if scenarios in Financial Manager 98.

3. Problems Importing Accounting Data from Intuit QuickBooks 4.0
Before you import accounting data from QuickBooks 4.0 for Windows, you
must register QuickBooks and disable all password protections on the data.
If you don't, you may receive a series of error messages, which you can
clear by clicking ENTER in response to each.
If you encounter problems importing accounting data from QuickBooks 4.0
for Windows, run the QuickBooks utility to rebuild your accounting data
and then try importing again. To run the QuickBooks repair utility, choose
Rebuild Data on the QuickBooks File:Utilities menu.

4. Importing Accounting Data from 3.5-inch Disks and Network Drives
Financial Manager's Import Wizard can't search for accounting data in the
root directory of a 3.5-inch disk or a network resource mapped to a
specific drive. To import accounting data from either a 3.5-inch disk or a
network drive, place the accounting data in a folder below the root level
of that disk or drive.

5. Behavior of the Projection Wizard inside Microsoft Excel
Financial Manager's Projection Wizard can seem to disappear if you
activate another application while running it. If this occurs, you can
find the projection wizard by right clicking on the Windows Task Bar and
selecting Minimize All Windows.

6. Issue running Financial Manager under Microsoft Windows NT operating
system.
A user must have Administrative Privileges in order to use Financial
Manager with Microsoft Windows NT operating system.

7. Problems running Financial Manager within a web browser.
Financial Manager does not work if it is launched from within a web
browser. The program will start and display the main screen, but you will
not be able to access any functionality.

8. Microsoft Excel must be installed on the local system in order to
install Financial Manager.
In order to install Financial Manager, Microsoft Excel must be installed
on the local system. Financial Manager cannot install if you are running
Microsoft Excel via a network server.

9. Problems with sharing workbooks that are created by Financial Manager.
With Microsoft Excel, you can share workbooks in order to allow access to
them by other users. Financial Manager does not support the sharing of any
workbook or worksheet created from Financial Manager.

Report may return a bad page if using Internet Explorer 3.
Occasionally, if you have version 3 of Internet Explorer installed on your
computer, you will see the Robert Morris Associates web page with the
following error message: HTTP/1.0 403 Access Forbidden (Read Access Denied
11. Compatability issues regarding Peachtree Accounting for Windows upgrades and Financial Manager datasets. If you have upgraded your Peachtree Accounting for Windows software to a new version, and have an existing Financial Manager dataset that was created from the older version of your accounting data, you must perform an Import to create a new Financial Manager dataset.
