SYMPTOMS
When you click the Alignment tab in the Format Cells dialog box, the Indent
label under Text Alignment is dimmed.
CAUSE
Indent is available only when you click Left(Indent) in the Horizontal box
in the Format Cells dialog box; however, the default setting for text
alignment is General. Any other horizontal text alignment setting also
causes the Indent label to be unavailable or dimmed.
REFERENCES
For more information about the Indent feature, click Contents And Index
on the Help menu (or on the Balloon Help menu if you are using a version of
the Macintosh operating system earlier than 8.0), click the Index button in
Microsoft Excel Help, type the following text
and then click Show Topics. Select the "Center, align, indent, or rotate
data in a cell" topic, and click Go To. If you are unable to find the
information you need, ask the Office Assistant.
