SUMMARY

This article describes how to replicate to another server that is in a different domain. This information is also available in the Site Server documentation.

In order for Microsoft Content Replication System to replicate to another domain, the source and the endpoint must share the same username and password. If the server (either source or endpoint) is a standalone server, you must create a local user account with the same password. If the server is BDC or PDC, create a domain user account with the same password.

MORE INFORMATION

Scenario:

Standalone, "Stager1" is in "Domain1" and standalone endpoint, "Endpoint2" is in "Domain2." "Stager1" and "Endpoint2" both have a local account called "username1."

Steps to Configure:
  1. On the Stager1, create a local user account called "UserName1" and create a password in User Manager.
  2. Put the Username1 in the CRS Admin group.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 on Endpoint2.
To run the replication, log on to the Stager as "UserName1" and run the replication.
