SUMMARY

If you have more than one messaging service defined in a profile that matches the same address type, you may need to modify the order of the services, which are used to deliver outbound messages, to use a preferred service.

MORE INFORMATION

To change the order of the services used for outbound mail, select Services from the Tools menu, and then click the Delivery tab.

In the "Recipient addresses are processed by these information services in the following order" list box, highlight the service you want to move and use the up or down arrow to change the order.

This option is necessary only if you have more than one information service that supports the same address type. For example, you may have Microsoft Exchange Server service and Internet Mail Service, in that order. Any message you send to an Internet recipient will be processed and sent via Microsoft Exchange Server, because this service supports Internet addresses and is first in the processing order. If you want all messages addressed to Internet recipients to be processed by the Internet Mail Service, move this service to the top of the list.
