SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, when you close a workbook, all of
the menu bars and toolbars may flash (they disappear and then quickly
reappear) when you close a workbook.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs if you have used the Menu Editor in Microsoft Excel
version 5.0 to add custom menu items to the workbook.
RESOLUTION
Even though the menu bars and toolbars flash, the custom menu items and
custom toolbar buttons created by macros in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh
Edition should not be affected when you close the workbook.
STATUS
This behavior is by design of Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition.
