SYMPTOMS
When you create a document using the Fax Wizard in Microsoft Word 98
Macintosh Edition, you may receive one of the following errors when you
attempt to fax or print:
Not enough memory to print.
Out of memory.
CAUSE
Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications does not return the system
resources that the Fax Wizard uses.
RESOLUTION
You must quit and restart Word to free the system resources that Visual
Basic is using, and then print the document created with the Fax Wizard.
Additionally, we suggest that you turn on Virtual Memory to reduce the risk
of these errors. To do this, follow these steps:
- Close all programs.
- On the Apple menu, point to Control Panels, and then click Memory.
- In the Virtual Memory section, make sure On is selected. If it is not,
click On and then close the Memory Control Panel.
- On the Special menu, click Restart.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Word 98 for
Macintosh Edition.
