The DrawText method of the PictureBox control is not documented. However, the method was implemented and does work. The DrawText method draws text in the PictureBox control one line at a time.

object.DrawText [string]

The parts of the DrawText method syntax are described in the following table:

object            A PictureBox object.
string            Optional. Any text string. If a string is not supplied
                  a blank line will be drawn. 

Example of DrawText Method

1. Create a new Windows CE Project in Visual Basic 5.0. Form1 is created by default.



2. Select Components from the Project menu.



3. Select the Microsoft CE PictureBox Control 1.0 from the Controls list, and then click OK.



4. Add a PictureBox Control to Form1.



5. Add the following code to the Form_Load event:

   
         Sub Form_Load()
            PictureBox1.DrawText "Hello"
            PictureBox1.DrawText
            PictureBox1.DrawText "World"
         End Sub 




6. If necessary, install the PictureBox Class to the desired target (emulator or remote device) by using the Control Manager from the Windows CE menu.



7. Press the F5 key to run the project.
