SYMPTOMS
When you save a workbook as an add-in in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh
Edition, it is possible to choose a file format other than the add-in
format.
WORKAROUND
When you save the workbook, verify that you are saving the workbook in
Microsoft Excel Add-In file format. To save an add-in, follow these
steps:
- Start Microsoft Excel 98.
- On the Tools menu, point to Macro, and then click Visual Basic Editor.
- In the Project window, click ThisWorkbook.
- On the View menu, click Properties window.
- Set the IsAddin property to True.
- On the File menu, click save Workbook1.
- Select Microsoft Excel Add-In in the Save Files as Type list.
- Click Save.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article.
