PUB98: No Online Registration Option with Windows NT

SYMPTOMS
If you install Publisher 98 on Windows 95, an Online Registration button
appears on the final Setup screen. In contrast, if you install Publisher
on Windows NT, this button does not appear.
In addition, if you run the Publisher Setup program in maintenance mode on
the Windows 95 computer, you will see the following four buttons on the
first Setup screen:
- Add/Remove
- Reinstall
- Remove All
- Online Registration
Note that the Online Registration button appears only if you did not
already run the Online Registration Wizard. On Windows NT, the Online
Registration button will never appear.
CAUSE
The Publisher Online Registration Wizard will not run on Windows NT.
When you run Setup program, it checks to see if you are running
Windows NT. If you are, the Setup program omits the Online Registration
button.
NOTE: One of the graphics that advertises the Online Registration feature
appears on the background of the Setup window. This graphic will always
appear, even if you are installing Publisher on a Windows NT-based
computer.
