SUMMARY

After setting custom margins, you may find it necessary to resize an existing table to fit within the new margins. The following procedure describes these steps for Word for the Macintosh 6.x.

MORE INFORMATION

To resize the table to fit between the new margins, follow these steps:

  1. Select the entire table by holding down the OPTION key and double- clicking within the table.
  2. On the Table menu, click Cell Height And Width.
  3. Click the Column tab.
  4. The Width Of Columns setting will display the current measurements. Click the down arrow next to the box where this measurement is displayed. The number will be incremented to zero and will then display "Auto."
  5. Click OK.
