PUB98: Publisher Setup Disables Screen Savers

Setup changes the key in the registry that Windows uses to check for screen savers. After Setup completes, the key is restored.

If Setup does not complete successfully, the screen saver will not be re- enabled. If this happens, you must turn the screen saver back on manually.

If You Use a Windows 95 Screen Saver

1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Display icon.
3. Click the Screen Saver tab.
4. Choose the screen saver you want to use, and click OK.

If You Use a Windows NT Screen Saver

1. Run Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Desktop icon.
3. Choose the screen saver you want to use, and click OK.

If you use a third-party screen saver, such as After Dark by Berkeley Systems, consult the screen saver's documentation or Help files.
