SYMPTOMS
When you use the Advanced Filter command in Microsoft Excel
98 Macintosh Edition, you may receive the following error message:
The extract range has a missing or illegal field name.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if one or more column headings in
the list of data are missing even though the data record Field Information for
the missing column is present.
NOTE: This problem does not occur in
earlier versions of Microsoft Excel.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use the Advanced Filter
command a second time immediately after receiving the error message; when you
do this, you do not receive the error message again. In addition, if you use
column headings for all of the fields, you do not receive the error message.
