SYMPTOMS

When you type the "ls" command at the root of tranfer.microsoft.com, no files or folders may be listed, including the Internet Explorer 4.0 for UNIX folder (Bdownload/IEUNIX/Preview1).

CAUSE

You cannot list the files in the root folder of transfer.microsoft.com.

RESOLUTION

You can obtain Internet Explorer Preview 1 for UNIX from the following ftp site:

   Internet (anonymous FTP)
      ftp transfer.microsoft.com
      Change to the Bdownload/IEUNIX/Preview1 folder
      Get ie4setup
